DIRECTORS' NOTES:     SFVP

Salvatore Ficarra and Valentino Picone were born in Palermo. Ficarra was a park animator and Picone was a law student when they met in 1993 and established a comedy duo.  They were nominated for the Nastro d’argento  and David di Donatello awards for Best New Director of Il 7 e l’8. and a Nastro d’argento award for Best Comedy for L’ora legale.

Regarding their film, they stated that it includes "comic situations but also moments to think about Christmas for what it really is, even if many forget it, that is the birthday of Jesus".
