PLOT: Guglielmo, owner of a religious merchandise shop, is a mild-mannered, middle-class man who is always worried about the opinions of others. On his 25th wedding anniversary, his wife Lidia suddenly leaves him for another woman.
Depressed and enjoying little in life, he finds his daily routine turned upside-down by the brazen new sales assistant, Luna. When she convinces him to sign up for a dating app to forget Lidia, Guglielmo  finds himself in a series of out-of-this-world situations!

Carlo Verdone, born in Rome, made his directorial and acting debut in 1980 in Un sacco bello.  During his career, he has won numerous awards, including the David di Donatello award for Best  Actor in Borotalco and Maledetto il giorno che t’ho incontrato; Best Supporting Actor in Manuale d’amore; Best Director in Perdiamoci di vista.

On Blessed Madness, Verdone said: “It is not just a comedy, it’s a movie full of messages. It is a film on a man’s desperate plea and on the same quest by an entire group of people, including Ilenia. All individuals looking for the most difficult thing to find today: love.”
