  Cesare
  CAESAR MUST DIE
The directors Paolo and Vittorio Taviani selected an unusual setting for this film--Rome's maximum security prison, Ribibbia. The actors are prisoners and the story is Shakespeare's Julius Caesar which will be performed on the prison's stage.

The film recounts how the prisoners, through intense rehearsals, gain strength day-by-day from the great Shakespearian tragedy and discovering, at the same time, the cadences of their life as condemned men.
