Giulia Louise Steigerwalt, born in Houston, Texas graduated with a master’s degree in Film Art Management from the University of Rome. In 2014, she earned a certificate in Feature Film Writing at UCLA. She made her acting debut in the 1999 film  Come te nessuno mai. Since 2012, she has focused on scriptwriting. Settembre is her first film.

Regarding her film Settembre, Steigerwalt said: “they are stories that I heard in the past…taking small steps to become more easy-going, happier”.
