  EMERGENCY EXIT:
YOUNG ITALIANS ABROAD
"Reaffirms the capacity of the 7th art to report the truth" - CRONACHE INTERNAZIONALI
Plot: Anna, Mauro, Milena and the others do not know each other, but they all have something in common: they left Italy, transferring abroad and betting on the opportunity for a better future.  A future that seemed difficult to imagine remaining in Italy. An entire generation is being drained outside of Italy’s borders. Not only “brainiacs” but also normal youth, citizens split in half, divided between a life with greater possibilities abroad but with the homesickness and frustration that every ex-pat has, even those who left voluntarily. The documentary reports what the young Italians living abroad do, think, dream, whether they will remain or return, and if leaving is really the emergency exit to change their uncertain future. A trip from Vienna to Paris, Tenerife, Bergen, London and New York; six stories of ordinary separation, one theme: that of a forgotten generation that has something to say to their home country.
