  VIVA L'ITALIA
Plot: What if one day a politician would begin to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
The politician is Michele Spagnolo. He has three children: Riccardo, a respected doctor; Susanna, a talentless actresss; and Valerio, a good-for-nothing whose career has been helped by his father.

In a career spanning thirty years, Michele has always put the interests of the community ahead of his personal wishes, and has passed unscathed through the myriad of scandals that have plagued Italy.

After a night spent with a showgirl, Michele has a seizure and survives, but not without consequences. He now says anything that comes to his head and does whatever he wants without the slightest appreciation of the gravity of his actions.
