The film "The Orchestra of Piazza Vittorio" witnesses the creation and formation of an orchestra by the same name; the film mixes music, encounters, solidarity and comedy.  Begun as an initiative of Mario Tronco, the film's musical composer and also pianist of the Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel and the Apollo 11 collective, the musical group started in a lower-income district of Rome where Italians are "an ethical minority". Filmed over a five-year period, from the beginning of the orchestra through it recent success, the documentary unites thirty musicians,  among them street performers and professionals from fifteen different nations, in some cases illegal immigrants, five cameramen, four editors and three sound technicians. The film reflects the Italy of today, characterized by a sociological and multi-cultural reality. The result is an extraordinary mix of sounds, harmony and life stories.
